Country Cultural Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy meets Senior Joint Secretary National Heritage and Culture Division

Ms. Farah Chery-Medor, Country Cultural Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad and Mr. Syed Azfar Iqbal, Public Diplomacy Program Specialist, visited National Heritage and Culture Division. They met Mr. Abdul Sattar Khokhar, Senior Joint Secretary (Admin and International Collaboration) and Mr. Shahzad Hameed Durrani, Joint Secretary (Organizations).  Representative of Ministry of Foreign Affairs was also present on the occasion.

The two sides exchanged views on prospects of enhancing cultural collaboration. The Senior Joint Secretary briefed the U.S. Embassy officials about ongoing activities, thanked the delegation for their visit and assured Division's collaboration in all cultural activities. In her remarks, Ms. Farah said that there is a lot of scope of mutual cooperation in various fields including art, culture, archaeology and literature.  She also expressed keen interest in enhancing and promoting people-to-people contact and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
