Inauguration of Mobile app and web portal for mapping of Heritage sites

Jamal Shah, Interim Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, inaugurated the mobile app and web portal for archaeological sites mapping project by the Department of Archaeology and Museums. The project successfully mapped over 6000 sites, with 500 selected for tourism potential. The Minister, along with Federal Secretary National Heritage and Culture Division Humaira Ahmed, highlighted the significance of the Mobile App as a gateway to the past, providing users easy access to explore Pakistan's historical and religious sites. Emphasizing its benefits for researchers, historians, and tourists, they expressed hope that it would promote cultural exchange, boost tourism, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the nation.
