The meeting of the Search Committee for selection of suitable candidate(s) for the post of Director, Iqbal Academy was held on 29th May, 2023. Worthy Secretary National Heritage & Culture Division Ms. Fareena Mazhar chaired the meeting. Senator Waleed Iqbal, Mr. Shahzad Hameed Khan Durrani, Joint Secretary (Org) National Heritage & Culture Division, Mr. Shoukat Amin Shah, Treasurer Iqbal Academy attended the meeting, while Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, Director General Islamic Research Institute Islamabad participated online. After recitation from Holy Quran, the chair welcomed the participants. As a result of the Advertisement, nine applications were received for initial appointment/deputation against the post of the Director Iqbal Academy. The committee reviewed all the nine application and noted that Iqbal Academy Pakistan is a highly prestigious academic institute to disseminate the message of our National Poet-Philosopher Allama Iqbal. Therefore, the Director should be a highly capable individual. The committee advised the convener to re-advertise the post as per the instructions of the Search Committee so that a large number of persons may participate in the candidacy
