Huzaifa Rehman is a seasoned policymaker, legal expert, and strategic communicator currently serving as a Minister of State in Pakistan. With over a decade of experience in governance, law, media, and public service, he has earned recognition for his contributions to transparency, institutional reform, and international cooperation.
He holds an M.Phil in International Relations from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, and a Master’s in Communication Studies with a specialization in Electronic and Digital Media. As a registered High Court lawyer with the Punjab Bar Council, he has been actively engaged in legal advocacy and public accountability, including a pivotal role in the landmark EOBI suo moto case (2013).
Previously, he served as a Federal Information Commissioner (MP-1), a quasi-judicial role in which he upheld the Right of Access to Information and promoted open governance. He also worked as a Columnist/broadcaster for more than 15 years in different media organisation. He has a very strong grip over the editorial policy of those organisation while serving as the Editorial Head.
Minister Rehman is currently leading efforts in his ministry to enhance Culture, Heritage & Tourism, governance efficiency, and regional collaboration.
